Privacy Policy
In short: this website sets no cookies, loads no external fonts and uses no analytics or tracking whatsoever. The only third-party content is the YouTube trailer, and it does not load until you explicitly ask for it with a click. The only thing stored is the language you pick yourself — locally, in your browser.
This is a translation for convenience. The legally binding version is the German Datenschutzerklärung.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Larsic/o RAHFT Management GmbH
Schwalbenweg 15
15806 Zossen
Germany
E-mail: impressum (at) tideraft.de
The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of processing personal data.
A data protection officer does not have to be appointed under Art. 37 GDPR in conjunction with § 38 BDSG. A message to the address above is enough for any data protection matter.
2. General information
Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally. We only process your personal data insofar as this is necessary to provide a functioning website and our content, or where you actively send us data, for example by e-mail.
Your data is not sold, not evaluated for advertising purposes, and not passed on to third parties unless expressly described in this policy or unless we are legally required to do so.
3. Hosting
Alfahosting
We host the content of our website with Alfahosting GmbH, Ankerstraße 3b, 06108 Halle (Saale), Germany. When you visit our website, Alfahosting — acting as our processor — records various log files including your IP address. The servers are located in Germany; no transfer to third countries takes place.
For details, see Alfahosting's privacy policy: alfahosting.de/datenschutz.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in presenting our website as reliably and securely as possible.
Data processing agreement: we have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with this provider pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
4. Server log files
The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in server log files which your browser transmits automatically. These are:
- browser type and version
- operating system used
- referrer URL (the page visited before)
- host name of the accessing computer
- time of the server request
- IP address
- name and size of the file requested, and the transfer status
This data is not merged with other data sources. Collection takes place on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation, the stability and the security of our website, which requires server log files to be recorded.
According to our host, the IP address in the log files is anonymised after 24 hours by zeroing the last octet, and the log files themselves are deleted after seven days at the latest. Longer storage occurs only exceptionally, to investigate a specific security incident or misuse.
5. Your language choice
This website exists in German and English. On your first visit, your browser checks which language it is set to and opens the matching version. That happens entirely on your device: nothing is sent to us, and nothing is stored.
If you then pick a language yourself with the “DE / EN” switch, your browser remembers that choice so you don't have to switch again next time. All it keeps is “German” or “English” — no identifier, no profile, and none of it reaches us or anyone else.
Because this storage provides exactly the function you asked for, it is permitted without consent under § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site data for tideraft.de in your browser.
We do not use cookies. The storage of your language choice described above also falls under § 25 TDDDG, where it is permitted without consent under paragraph 2 no. 2.
6. YouTube trailer (two-click solution)
On the homepage and in the press section we embed the NARON teaser from YouTube. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
The embed is blocked by default. All you see at first is a preview image served from our own server. As long as you do not click that preview, not a single request is sent to YouTube or Google — not for thumbnails, not for scripts.
Only when you click the preview is the player loaded and a connection to Google's servers established. Google then learns that you opened tideraft.de, and further data such as your IP address is transmitted. If you are logged into YouTube at the same time, Google can associate your browsing behaviour with your personal profile; you can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand. In this context YouTube may also store cookies or comparable recognition technologies on your device.
We use YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). According to YouTube, no information about visitors is stored in this mode before a video is watched.
The legal basis for loading the player and for the associated storage of information on your device is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25 (1) TDDDG. You give that consent by deliberately clicking the preview image. We do not store your decision: on your next visit the player is blocked again, so you decide anew each time. You therefore do not need to declare a withdrawal — simply not starting the video again is enough. Transfers to Google that have already happened remain unaffected.
Google also processes data in the USA and is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. For more on how Google handles user data, see policies.google.com/privacy.
If you would rather watch the trailer without the embedded player, a direct link to YouTube sits next to the video. Google's terms then apply exclusively.
7. Links to external services
We link to external services, including Steam (Valve Corporation), Discord (Discord Inc.) and Google Forms / Google Drive (Google Ireland Limited) — the latter hosting the Rift Miner press key form and the complete NARON press kit download.
Clicking such a link takes you away from tideraft.de. From that point on, only the privacy terms of the respective provider apply, and your data (including your IP address) is transmitted to them. As long as you do not click the link, the provider learns nothing about your visit here.
8. Newsletter
If you receive our newsletter, we process your e-mail address and a randomly generated subscriber ID for that purpose. Your data is not passed on to third parties.
To measure reach, we record whether a message was opened and whether a link inside it was followed. What is stored is only the subscriber ID, the mailing it belongs to and the time - not your address. This happens once per mailing; no reading profile is built across several messages.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the deliverability and reach of our own mailings (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), or your consent where it was given (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).
You may object to this measurement at any time: most mail programs allow images to be switched off, in which case it does not take place. You can also end the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in every message. We delete the measurement data as soon as it is no longer required for the stated purpose; after an unsubscribe we retain the ID alone, so as not to write to you again.
9. Contacting us by e-mail
If you contact us by e-mail, the details you provide including your contact data will be stored by us in order to process your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on without your consent.
Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to the performance of a contract or to pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in effectively handling enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) where it was requested.
We delete your enquiry once it has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations — such as commercial or tax law periods of up to ten years — prevent deletion. You may withdraw consent or object at any time.
10. SSL / TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL / TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser address bar changing from “http://” to “https://”. While encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
11. Retention period
Unless a more specific retention period is stated in this policy, your personal data remains with us until the purpose for processing no longer applies. If you assert a justified request for deletion or withdraw your consent, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible grounds for storing it. In the latter case, deletion takes place once those grounds cease to apply.
12. Your rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access to the data processed, its origin, recipients and the purpose of processing (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data or completion of incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure of the data we hold about you (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability in a common, machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
An informal message to impressum (at) tideraft.de is enough to exercise any of these rights.
Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR
Where data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data. We will then no longer process the data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
13. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
In the event of breaches of the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. This right exists without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.
14. No automated decision-making
Automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, does not take place.
15. Changes to this privacy policy
We update this privacy policy whenever the legal situation or the technology used on this website changes. The version available at the time of your visit applies.
